Goodman LED Blink Codes

9 diagnostic blink codes documented

(off) high
No Power to Control Board

The furnace control board has no power.

  1. Check breaker panel
  2. Inspect board fuse (3A or 5A)
  3. Verify door switch is closed
  4. Test 120V at board
  5. Test 24V transformer output
1 Flash (slow) critical
System Lockout - Ignition Failure

Furnace locked out after repeated ignition failures.

  1. Power cycle to clear lockout
  2. Check gas supply
  3. Test igniter resistance (40-200 ohms)
  4. Clean flame sensor
  5. Test gas valve operation
1 Flash (continuous) info
Normal Operation - No Call

System is powered and in standby. No call for heat.

  1. No action needed โ€” normal standby
2 Flashes (slow) high
Pressure Switch Stuck Open

Pressure switch failed to close with inducer running.

  1. Check flue termination for obstruction
  2. Inspect hose to pressure switch
  3. Test inducer motor amps
  4. Clear condensate drain
3 Flashes (slow) high
Pressure Switch Stuck Closed

Pressure switch is reading closed before inducer starts.

  1. Disconnect pressure switch hose โ€” switch should open
  2. Test switch with multimeter
  3. Check for stuck inducer relay on board
4 Flashes (slow) high
Open High Limit Switch

High temperature limit has tripped.

  1. Replace air filter
  2. Check all vents and returns are open
  3. Test blower motor operation
  4. Verify ductwork not collapsed
5 Flashes (slow) critical
Flame Sensed Without Call for Heat

Flame detected when system should not be heating.

  1. SAFETY: Close gas supply immediately
  2. Test gas valve operation
  3. Inspect board for shorts
6 Flashes (slow) medium
Line Voltage Polarity Reversed

Hot and neutral wires are reversed at the furnace power supply.

  1. Check outlet polarity with multimeter or tester
  2. Correct wiring at disconnect switch
7 Flashes (slow) high
Gas Valve Circuit Failure

Gas valve coil or circuit is not functioning.

  1. Test gas valve coil resistance
  2. Check board output voltage to gas valve
  3. Inspect wiring between board and valve
